Description Torgeson Electric Company is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Administrator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our on-going prjects. 

Job Description

This role will provide essential administrative support to project managers within Torgeson Electric Company. The project administrator will provide on-going support throughout the execution of a project from coordination to documentation.

Pay Based on Experience.
Hours 40 or more per week
Transportation Travel allowance provided, if required
Lodging Provided if Required
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to provide administrative assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain project documentation accurately, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Assist in project communication efforts by disseminating relevant information to project team members, subcontractors, and clients, fostering clear and effective communication channels.
  • Monitor project progress and milestones, identifying any deviations or risks, and promptly notifying project managers to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Support project managers in the preparation of project proposals, change orders, and other project-related documentation as needed.
  • Utilize project management software and tools proficiently to maintain accurate project data and facilitate collaboration among project teams. (Procore, Viewpoint, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Provide on-site support at our headquarters in Topeka, KS, assisting with day-to-day project coordination and administrative tasks

Additonal Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience working for an electrical subcontractor or other construction company is required.
  • Proven track record in an administrative role supporting project management functions, preferably within the construction or electrical industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and terminology is advantageous.
