Estimator – Kansas City Market


We are seeking a highly motivated Estimator to help grow our Kansas City Market, ranging in scale from $100K to $10M projects. We are looking for a motivated individual with previous experience in Accubid, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Scope of Work

An Estimator is required to work under the direction the Sr. Estimator’s direction to prepare project estimates based on the bid documents.


Salary – Negotiable


Full Time (40 or more per week)

•Strong technical background and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical construction.
•Solid knowledge of National and Local Electrical Codes.
•Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematics.
•Good written and verbal interpersonal skills.
•Review physical constraints of the site and any special requirements.
•Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
•Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
•Experience in Viewpoint, Procore, Egnyte, Trimble Accubid, and Bluebeam are a plus.

Duties and Tasks

•Tracks and organizes all quotations, subcontractor bids, and documents in appropriate software.
•Identifying and managing electrical market bid list.
•Review plans and specifications in detail, identify and address scope issues, and communicate through RFIs.
•Proper takeoffs for estimates.
•Visit site for prebid meetings, walk-throughs, etc.
•Estimate project using Accubid Software and note the list of drawings, addendums, specs, and other required changes.
•Prepare & present proposal as needed.
•Coordinate and turn over acquired projects to construction division in a timely manner.
•Assist with budgeting and tracking change orders on projects.
